Besides skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men and the second-leading cause of cancer death in men, according to the National Cancer Institute. This year alone, the NCI estimates that nearly 218,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 32,000 will die from the disease. The best weapon in fighting prostate cancer is early detection. The earlier it is found, the more options for treating it and the greater the chances of survival.
