York Hospital's emergency center, which treats more than 25,000 patients each year, was designed to focus on patient needs. Staffed by board certified emergency physicians and emergency trained nurses, the center offers private rooms, in-house x-ray and laboratory services, bedside registration, a separate area for orthopedic injuries and cardiac/trauma patients. The enclosed ambulance bay creates a covered entrance for transported patients that is heated in the winter time.
