Special thanks to the Wells Lady Warriors and Coach Abbott who organized the Shootin' For a Cure basketball fundraising event!  Their efforts raised close to $13,000 to benefit York Hospital's Breast Care in Wells program!  Thanks everyone!

Here, our staff utilizes the latest technology in digital mammography and breast ultrasound to assure you the fastest results possible.  Chief Radiologist Director and fellowship-trained breast radiologist Kira Wendorf, MD (see photo at right), is on-site and available to go over results within moments of your exam.  The center is also home to dedicated nurses and expert technologists to help you navigate through evaluation and treatment needs or to answer any questions you may have. 

Center of Excellence

York Hospital's Breast Care was recently designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR).  We are fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.  We are one of only a few Maine and New Hampshire centers designated as a Center of Excellence.
