Dear Friends and Community Members,
It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of this year’s Hancock Classic boat cruise, scheduled for August 18, 2021. Out of an abundance of caution for both our community and caregivers as the transmission of COVID-19’s delta variant continues to intensify, we have agreed that this is simply the safest and most prudent decision.
Ticket purchases may be fully refunded, credited toward attendance at next summer’s 2022 Hancock Classic event, or considered a donation to the Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging at York Hospital. Please click here to send an email to us indicating which option you choose:
1. REFUND: Please REFUND my ticket purchase.
2. CREDIT: Please CREDIT my tickets toward attending next summer’s 2022 Hancock Classic event.
3. DONATION: Please process the cost of my tickets as a DONATION.
The Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging has supported seniors in need through the challenges the pandemic brought to our seacoast community. Home delivery of meals and medication, transportation to health care appointments, and house calls or telemedicine visits for patients too infirm to travel have helped ease social isolation and improve access to care. As we continue to face new challenges in our efforts to keep our community healthy and safe, the need for funding our important programs is greater than ever before. It is therefore with a very heavy heart that we cancel our annual fundraising event.
We encourage you and your loved ones who are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine – and we remain at your service should you require excellent medical care close to home. With our best wishes for continued health and happiness – until we can safely gather again – thank you for your support.
Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our Community Relations Team at 207-351-2385 or [email protected].
We look forward to celebrating healthy aging – in person – with you next summer!
