Please join us for this lunchtime program on the topic of Dementia Care and Older Adult Programming. Dr. Elizabeth Castillo joined York Hospital in September as a Geriatrician, bringing extensive clinical & residential inpatient as well as outpatient experience. She will lead the program by discussing dementia’s impact on older adults. Following Dr. Castillo, Barbara Roberge, PhD, Geriatric consultant at York Hospital, will provide an overview of the three main programs for older adult care that are being developed at York Hospital with Dr. Castillo and Nurse Practitioner Erin Morgan: the Memory Clinic, the Frailty Clinic, and the House Calls Program. Information about York Hospital’s new Older Adult House Calls program, directed by Erin Morgan, will also be reviewed. Dr. Castillo and Barbara Roberge, PhD will provide a more detailed look at the soon-to-open service, which will provide home visits for older adults as an extension of Primary Care and in partnership with Home Care services..
