Special Guests

Hear Dr. Bob McAfee’s perspective on aging–and how he lives life to the fullest. Dr. McAfee was the first Maine doctor to serve as president of the American Medical Association, following a brilliant career as Chief of Surgery and Vascular Surgery at Mercy Hospital. He was president of Maine Medical Association, a founding member of Maine Citizens Against Handgun Violence, a trustee emeritus of the University of New England, and chairman of the Advisory Council to The Partnership for A Tobacco-Free Maine from 1997 through 2001.

Meet Jonathan Goldsmith–the actor who portrayed The Most Interesting Man in the World! Jonathan is a beacon of healthy aging and an ardent supporter of York Hospital. Join us and hear Jonathan’s insights on healthy aging.

The Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging

The Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging was established by the York Hospital Trustees as a tribute to Frank & Kay Hancock, recognizing their leadership, community spirit and service to York Hospital, and acknowledging their independent, can-do attitudes. Their work is carried on by their children Cal Hancock, Emi Betts and Josh Hancock.

Be inspired by the stories of our engaging guest speakers and learn how the Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging supports programs and services that promote and benefit the physical, emotional, spiritual and overall health and well-being of our community.
