Healthy Steps for Older Adults

Successful aging means taking an active role in managing your health and independence. If you have noticed changes in your balance or have concerns about falls, ‘Healthy Steps for Older Adults’ is a new, FREE Falls Prevention Workshop from Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA), aimed at helping you understand your fall risk, and learn how to stay active.

As part of this unique workshop, you’ll receive:

  • Personalized balance screening
  • Education to understand your personal risk factors for falls
  • Exercise program demonstration you can practice at home
  • Opportunities for action planning and goal setting, and
  • Resource booklet
  • Complimentary lunch

This program is generously sponsored by York Hospital, at no cost to participants. A complimentary lunch will be provided by the York Hospital Dining & Nutrition Team.

In the event of snow or inclement weather, this program will be rescheduled for Tuesday, April 2.
