“How to Move” Webinar

In celebration of National Senior Health & Fitness Day on Wednesday, May 25, the York Hospital Center for Older Adults will present a fun and informative webinar, “How to Move,” from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Designed to get participants up and out of their seats, the program will feature local fitness experts who will discuss and demonstrate ways to keep your body and brain strong to help prevent cognitive and functional decline as you age.

Presenters Marissa Santos, PT, DPT, physical therapist at York Hospital, and Janine Robichaud, wellness coach at Soulful Pathways, will cover a range of topics, including the importance of activity for both physical and mental well-being; common stereotypes associated with aging and mobility; how to stay active both inside the home and outdoors; ways to achieve personal exercise and activity goals; and when to seek assessment for pain or difficulty experienced with physical activity. There will also be a live tai chi/qigong sequence to get your blood flowing!
