Strike Out Cancer Day
Saturday May 20, 9:00am-3:00pm
Memorial Field, Berwick, Maine

Noble Youth Baseball has teamed up with York Hospital to host its annual Strike Out Cancer day with proceeds to benefit The Living Well Cancer Fund.

The Living Well With Cancer Fund at York Hospital helps meet the very real and immediate needs of cancer patients by focusing on their well-being, health and quality of life. There are those cancer patients, some on very limited incomes, enduring chemotherapy treatments, who find they not only lose their hair, but also their self-esteem. This special fund provides them with the means to purchase a wig, along with a gas card to drive to appointments…and maybe even oil to heat their homes during an endless New England winter. Your gift may also provide exercise classes or physical rehabilitation services,or a massage therapy treatment especially designed for a cancer patient following surgery.

The following programs will be supported by the generosity of Noble Youth Baseball and community members like you:

Emergency Assistance to help relieve some of the financial burden during cancer treatment—whether due to a leave of absence from work and lost income, or for those living on a fixed income—we offer help with gas and grocery gift cardsemergency fuel assistance, car payments.

Support Groups that provide emotional and psychological support for those patients and families coping with a cancer diagnosis.

Exercise and Wellness Classes that enhance strength and flexibility

Nutritional Guidance by certified nutritionists

Wigs and Head Scarves for those suffering hair loss during cancer treatment

Massage Therapy by those professionally trained in post-operative cancer massage treatments.

Thank you for doing something tangible to help people you know and some you don’t… in turn helping us at York Hospital to love and care for all who enter our doors, in the way that helps them most!
