An upcoming Town of York construction project will temporarily change the traffic pattern around and through the York Hospital campus beginning Monday, April 3. The entrance to York Hospital at Loving Kindness Way will be closed through May 1, with traffic rerouted to the main parking areas via Williams Avenue.

The York Water District has scheduled work to replace a portion of the 1901-era cast iron water main on Lindsay Road, between York Street and the entrance to York Hospital at Loving Kindness Way. With a scheduled start date of Monday, April 3, they estimate the timeframe for the project to be approximately four weeks, weather permitting.

York Hospital has worked with the York Water District and the Department of Public Works to create the most direct alternative route for all patients and visitors. Orange directional road signs will guide patients from York Street to Williams Avenue (next to York Fire Station) to reach the Main/Emergency Department or Surgery Center entrances.

Hospital Drive and Salisbury Avenue entrances to the York Hospital campus will remain open and available for those who have appointments in various campus buildings or through the Hancock Wing entrance.
