As we head into the start of the annual cold and flu season, we are also experiencing increased coronavirus activity across the nation. York Hospital is committed to ensuring the ongoing safety of our patients and our staff at all times. To better care for you and the community, and to ensure the safety of our patients and staff while the coronavirus is present, along with other seasonal respiratory illnesses, York Hospital has implemented the following changes, effective December 5th.
Kittery Walk-In Care will be closed temporarily as of December 5th. This carefully considered measure is being taken to maximize York Hospital’s ability to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among patients and caregivers, by focusing caregiver efforts in locations that require additional attention. During this temporary closure, we encourage our Kittery Walk-In patients, as well as those with any respiratory symptoms, to visit our Walk-In Care sites in York, Wells or Sanford or to contact their primary care providers for guidance.
