York Hospital’s secure, online portals provide patients with 24/7 access to their electronic medical records; but knowing which portal to use can sometimes be confusing. To assist patients in navigating their online health information, members of York Hospital’s patient health information support team will present an instructional webinar, “Understanding Your Patient Portal,” Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Designed as a how-to for new patients, existing users with questions, and anyone who may feel uncertain about technology, the program will provide an overview of features and benefits of each portal and step-by-step demonstrations. It will also cover common questions and concerns, such as:
- How do I sign up for the Patient Portal?
- What is the access code for my Patient Portal?
- How do I find the Patient Portal online?
- I requested a password reset, but I didn’t get the email with the link.
- I logged in to the Patient Portal months ago, but now I can’t get in.
- How do I see my lab results?
- How do I send a secure message to my provider?
The program will end with a live Q&A session. Participants may submit questions when they register or by emailing [email protected] and putting “Patient Portal Webinar” in the subject line.

Maria Evangelou, Health Information Management Informatics Specialist, is the administrator of the York Hospital’s “hospital” patient portal, also known as Syntellis. Maria is available to assist patients and community members with any portal information concerns related to hospital services they have received.
Camie Wiles, EMR Analyst works with York Hospital’s provider practices. She is always happy to help patients access the practice patient portal or answer any questions they may have.
Fia Yarian, CPC- EMR Analyst and Coder/Auditor, Fia works with York Hospital’s practices to optimize the use of the electronic medical records program. She also enjoys assisting patients with patient portal questions.
