If the new year has you thinking about a healthier you, then here’s an event you won’t want to miss. On Wednesday, January 26, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., York Hospital will host a lunchtime webinar, “What’s Going On Down There? All Your Women’s Health Questions Answered,” with Sarah Jean Hanson, MD, FACOG.

Join Dr. Hanson, gynecologist at York Hospital’s OB/GYN Surgical & Midwifery Associates, for a discussion about common gynecologic health issues, including hormone changes and menopause, pelvic floor and bladder health, and the role sexuality plays in wellness.

When you register, you will also have the opportunity to submit a question for the presenter to address during the program. A recording will be available for public viewing on the hospital’s YouTube channel after the event.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Dr. Sarah Jean Hanson joined York Hospital’s OB/GYN team in 2019. Her prior experience includes a decade at the largest tertiary referral center in the state of Alaska, and two years of international work with Doctors Without Borders and Surgeons Overseas as an obstetrician/gynecologist surgeon in India, Nepal, and South Sudan.

Dr. Hanson earned her BS in Biology from George Mason University College of Arts & Sciences in Fairfax, VA, and her MD from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond. She completed her residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, which included serving on an OB/GYN resident team providing health care at a teaching hospital in Thailand. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
