York Hospital is pleased to announce the newest member to join its medical staff this month.
Meredith Legg, MSN, FNP-BC will be providing care to patients
as part of the Oncology, Hematology & Infusion Care team.

Ms. Legg earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College and both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in nursing from Yale University in New Haven, CT. She then went on to provide nursing services, patient education, substance use screening and pediatric care at Families First Community Health Center in Portsmouth, NH. For the last four years, Ms. Legg has worked as an oncology nurse practitioner for Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she provided medical care to patients with hematologic and solid tumor malignancies, developing tailored treatment plans and delivering comprehensive symptom management. She then transitioned to a role as Clinical Program Manager of the Early Phase Clinical Trial Unit at Mount Sinai’s Tisch Cancer Institute. Ms. Legg was responsible for the conduct of phase I oncology clinical trials and managed medical care for trial participants receiving novel agents.

“The driving force behind my clinical care philosophy is personalized medicine with an emphasis in patient-provider communication, as it is essential to successful patient outcomes. Committed to inter-professional collaboration, I hope to bring experience, warmth and partnership to my practice, directly aligning with York Hospital’s commitment to integrative care and loving kindness,” offered Ms. Legg.

In addition to professional duties, she has volunteered with the community health clinic in New Haven, the Center for Refugee Health & Human Rights, and was a Fellow with Yale Law Global Health Justice. “I am excited to return to the Seacoast, nearer to my family and friends,” said Legg. When not at York Hospital, and “post-pandemic,” you will find her looking forward to traveling (anywhere!), meeting new people, paddleboarding and kayaking.
