Emergency Center

At York Hospital’s Emergency Care Center in York (which treats more than 20,000 patients each year) you will receive quality care quickly, in a comfortable and private and centered around you and your family's needs.  We know your time is valuable.  The latest diagnostics such as CT-scan, MRI, Ultrasound and other imaging diagnostics are available at a moment's notice along with stat lab services, and in-house x-ray.  When you visit our center, your comfort and peace of mind is just as important.  Private treatment rooms, bedside registration and volunteer rounding are also part of our service.  At our facility, you are seen by a clinician upon arrival, and will be escorted to a private room where our experienced team of emergency trained physicians and nurses will take care of you and your family!    Look to the menu options in the navigation bar to the left to view additional information about our Emergency services.

Wait times on our home page gives patients an approximate idea on how much time to expect between arriving at the York Hospital Emergency Room and when to expect see a doctor. Included in this time is triage, room placement and registration. The calculation looks at each visit during the last 60 minutes and provides an average time. This is updated every 15 minutes. Please know that all times are approximate and vary based on circumstance.
