York Hospital is pleased to announce that after a two-year hiatus, the York Hospital 5K Road Race is back on track as an in-person event. There is still time to join other runners and walkers on Saturday, June 4 for this fun Walk and Run for Everyone! Proceeds will benefit the Caring for All Fund at York Hospital. This family-friendly race features a scenic, 3.1–mile course through York, including local landmarks such as the Wiggly Bridge and Steedman Woods and offering mile markers and professional timing.
Prizes will be presented to the top male and female winners in each division. Healthy refreshments – fruit, granola bars and water – will be provided to all. Children (and parents!) are encouraged to participate, as special award categories will be offered for kids age 10 & under, ages 11-13 and ages 14-17.
Pre-registration fees are $25 (14 & older), $10 (13 & under), and $50 (families/groups up to 5 participants). You can register today at York Hospital 5K (runsignup.com). Race day registration fees are $25 for all individuals or $50 for families/groups up to five participants.
On June 4, registration opens at 7 a.m. at York Hospital, and the race begins promptly at 8:30 a.m., rain or shine. For those who pre-register, bib pick up will be held Friday, June 3, from 3–6 p.m. and Saturday, June 4, from 7–8:15 a.m. in the Henry Warner Conference Room, lower level of the Henry Warner Building on the hospital campus.
Over the years, the York Hospital 5K Road Race has generated a tremendous amount of community support, from the many local sponsors to hundreds of local runners and volunteers. We’re so excited to welcome you back to our campus for this fun, family-friendly, outdoor event!
