Frank and Kay Hancock, for whom the Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging is named, were long-time residents of Cape Neddick and supporters of York Hospital. The Hancocks embodied the classic art of enjoying life and aging with grace and humor. Frank, a former Attorney General of Maine, and Hospital Board Chair, was a powerful intellect who easily blended commitment to his community and his family. Kay, always strong, caring and on the move—Hospital Trustee and chair of many committees—maintained her wit and mental edge until the age of 91. The Hancock Family Fund for Healthy Aging was established by the York Hospital Trustees in 2016 as a tribute to both Frank and Kay Hancock, recognizing their leadership, community spirit and service to York Hospital. That work is carried on now by their children Cal Hancock, Emi Betts and Josh Hancock. The Hancock Fund supports important programs at York Hospital such as Transportation Services, Strength & Balance workshops, Center for Older Adults programs, meals & prescriptions delivery and much more.

During the evening, York Hospital President Dr. Patrick A. Taylor will share how the Hancock Fund helped York Hospital meet increased demand for medical house calls and home meal and prescription deliveries during the pandemic as Seacoast-area seniors sheltered in place. Special thanks to the Betts Family Foundation, the Hancock family, and to all our community supporters for helping York Hospital serve our seniors in so many important ways!

Tickets for the 2022 Hancock Classic are $150 per person and include cruise, food and beverages.
