Matt Gunn, Nubble, 2022, 18 x 24 inches.

World Art Day is an international celebration of the fine arts, declared by the International Association of Art to promote awareness of creative activity worldwide. Held each year on April 15—the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci—World Art Day provides an opportunity to affirm the role of the visual arts in our world.

York Hospital is pleased to join the celebration by championing local visual artists for their role in support of the mental and physical health of all in our communities. The hospital’s 2024 exhibition schedule features the following three artists, whose exhibitions can be seen in the York Hospital Dining Room on weekdays and in an online gallery at your convenience:

        • Matt Gunn (oil paintings, January through April)
        • Sarah Cassani (oil paintings, May through August )
        • Roger Morin (watercolors, September through December)

To view the paintings in person, the York Hospital Dining Room is open to the public Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. For complete details about the current exhibition of oil paintings by Matt Gunn, and to view the online art gallery 24/7, visit https://www.yorkhospital.com/online-art-gallery/. The online gallery also includes works from previous exhibitions. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of any works on view will be donated to support York Hospital’s Caring for All Fund.
