To help educate the community on the facts and fallacies of diabetes, Emily Appleton, PA-C and Julie Wark, APRN-BC, providers with Diabetes & Endocrinology Associates of York Hospital, will present an interactive webinar, “Diabetes: Facts & Fiction,” Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

The webinar, in the heart of November’s “National Diabetes Month,” will highlight risk factors, symptoms and types of diabetes. Also included will be these common questions and concerns:

  • Diabetes Type 1 and Type 2: What’s the difference?
  • Signs & Symptoms of Prediabetes
  • Obesity & Insulin Resistance
  • Screening for Diabetes
  • Type 2 Diabetes: Lifestyle Intervention & Prevention

The program will end with a live Q&A session. Participants may submit questions when they register or by emailing [email protected] and putting “Diabetes Webinar” in the subject line.
