Please be aware that we have received numerous complaints regarding scammers spoofing the York Hospital phone number (on caller ID) to contact unsuspecting community members and ask for their social security number along with other private information. York Hospital would not request private information via an unsolicited phone call. If you receive such a phone call, please hang up immediately. The York Police Department is aware of this activity but welcomes any additional information that may assist them in shutting down this scam. York residents may contact them at 207-363-4444. Residents outside of York should contact their local police departments.
