Malcolm Clough Honored With DAISY Award for Q1 2025

Malcolm Clough, BSN, RN, from the Emergency Department,
is our DAISY Award honoree for Q1 2025.

We are excited to announce that Emergency Department nurse Malcolm Clough, BSN, RN, has been honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for the first quarter of 2025. The recognition follows a heartfelt nomination from patient Julie G., who praised his compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to exceptional care on an extremely busy night in the ED.

Julie shared that Malcolm’s calm, respectful manner made all the difference during a difficult time. “His kind and attentive approach immediately put me at ease,” she said. “It was clear he understood the importance of communication. He showed me great grace—and smiled,” she wrote.

Despite the fast-paced environment, Malcolm remained focused and compassionate. He delivered thorough, efficient care without letting the pressure compromise his attentiveness or kindness.

“His respect for me was a shining example of how a patient should always be treated. He was respectful of me as a person in every way,” Julie added.

“I can't say enough good about Malcolm. If it were up to me, I'd give him a DAISY Award for every minute I was in the ED. He was a shining star.”

Colleagues and patients alike say Malcolm truly represents the heart of nursing.

The DAISY Award is an international program that honors extraordinary nurses through nominations from patients, families, and coworkers.
